SCENT YOUR HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
We love the festive season here at PS….HQ and with our stunning lights due to be switched on next week we can proudly say Christmas has officially arrived in Glasgow!
As well as indulging in some delicious meals, sipping on fizz and finding the perfect gifts for our loved ones, we can’t wait to get our homes ready for the most wonderful time of the year.
This year, we’re not only decking the halls with all our favourite decorations but filling it with welcoming, cosy fragrances. And who better to share their top scenting tips than Scottish candle experts Shearer Candles.
Located on our first floor, Shearer Candles want to help you make your home a festive retreat that makes guests say ‘wow it smells good in here!’ Here’s a few tips that the Shearer Candles’ team love to use at this time of year.
Candles
Candles are a must for creating a cosy mood for Christmas. Not only does the flickering of a candle create beautifully warm lighting but Shearer’s Christmas scents encapsulate the allure of Christmas. The new Christmas Couture Collection will fill your home with stunning aromas of sweet apples, juicy citrus, and cooling clove.
Diffusers
Not so keen on having candles burning? A practical and stylish way of keeping your home beautifully scented is using diffusers. Diffusers provide long lasting fragrance to fill your home through Christmas and beyond. Shearer recommends scattering a few around the home – try out Cranberry & Ginger and Cinnamon Spice for an injection of festive feels.
Christmas Simmering Pot
Those cold December days call for a Christmas simmering pot. Gather sliced oranges, pine, berries, cinnamon or any other festive flavours you may have at the back of your cupboard into a pot and gently simmer all day long. Your home will be filled with the delicious scent of Christmas ingredients and will make any visitor feel cosy and welcomed. Afterwards you can drain and let the ingredients dry and you’ll have yourself some stunning homemade potpourri.
Spritz Pinecones
Pinecones make any room look wonderfully festive but they can also make your rooms smell wonderfully festive too. Whether you’re hanging them from your tree or making a table centre piece, why not spritz a little room spray on them for the ultimate festive finishing touch.
